“Whatever your hand finds to do, verily, do it with all your might...”
- Ecclesiastes 9:10
My name is Sam Glenn
Technically my legal name is Benjamin Samuel Glenn… Because my parents didn’t feel like changing the Birth Certificate. So every school year, The first roll call was the worst. The teacher always said, “BENJAMIN!”. I would raise my hand, and everyone would laugh… So I’d have to explain every year that I go by my middle name, yada yada yada, I have an identity crisis… THANKS MOM AND DAD!
Child of God, Husband, Father, Audio Imagineer, Musician
I grew up playing multiple instruments, driven by a passion for perfection. In high school, my brother asked me to help run sound for his youth group, and despite my meticulous efforts, achieving the perfect mix proved elusive, providing me with amusement in hindsight.
Chris Johns approached me to intern with the production team at Northwood Church, where I learned valuable skills in soldering, cable management, and stage setup. This experience taught me the importance of fostering a collaborative relationship as an engineer for a band.
Transitioning to Milestone Church, I started serving immediately, initially in young adults and Wednesday services. Later, I joined the weekend team as an A2, responsible for tasks like changing batteries, moving the podium, and operating the smoke machine during worship sets. Over time, I took on sound mixing for numerous services, juggling my commitment alongside a full-time job and my video game addiction.
Eventually, I was offered the position of Audio Director at Milestone Church, a thrilling and nerve-wracking opportunity that felt right. Working during a transformative period in the church's history, I witnessed its rapid growth, transition to a new building, and embraced countless opportunities and challenges. It was a significant milestone in my life, pun intended.
In the summer of 2019, I felt a strong calling to pursue my desires and give back to the church through consulting. Trusting God on this new journey has been both incredible and challenging. I can see His guiding hand as I embrace this adventure, grateful for the knowledge and experiences gained over my seven years in church production.
I have a passion for sound!
Talk to anyone I have worked with.
They’ll tell you that I won’t stop til I’m satisfied.
Or til the ushers open doors...
those dang ushers…
